Paul is an environmental/geotechnical consultant and land reclamation project manager with over 32 years’ experience. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
He has extensive experience with ontamination/reclamation projects within the UK and specifically the North East where he has worked alongside the regeneration bodies and private clients since 1990 on major projects for Homes England, HCA, ONE North East, English Partnerships and TDC such as Electrolux, Wilton Chemical Works, Middlehaven Reclamation, Weetslade and Monkton Colliery and the Tees Barrage.
Paul specialises in Environmental Impact Assessments, contaminated land reclamation, major earthworks projects, slope stability, land assessment and due diligence.
He manages all aspects of Environmental Services and surveys to support planning applications and development including Construction Management Plans. Paul has a vast experience in public and private consultation and a good knowledge of grant and funding mechanisms.
Clive Davies (no relation to Paul) is a project manager and a specialist in bio-physical green infrastructure, strategic landscape planning, open space assessment and ‘green’ audits. He has over 40 years’ experience in both urban and rural settings across the UK and internationally. In addition to his work as a project manager, he is active in research and teaching. He acts as an ‘in-house consultant’ for clients who need expert guidance on a ‘medium to long-term basis’ or for ‘task and finish’ purposes.
Given his experience, he also provides a ‘mentoring service’ to guide organisations through changes relating to landscape and open space-related development and management.
Clive has worked for organisations including local government, the charitable sector, academia and European & global clients such as the European Forest Institute and the United Nations FAO.
He is heavily engaged in the development of ‘nature-based solutions’, especially with regard to the role of urban forestry with a notable focus on developing strategies and guidelines for these. Clive is a noted speaker at conferences and symposia.
Glenn McGill is an experienced planning practitioner with over 40 years’ experience dealing with a wide range of town planning issues and problems. He is a Chartered Town Planner and a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. Glenn has extensive experience in all kinds of planning, development and environmental matters in the UK, notably in the North East of England, North and West Yorkshire.
He has worked in planning in and on behalf of Local Government, the Charitable Sector, National Government as well as a wide range of private sector clients, so he has an excellent overall understanding of the planning system and the role of different actors in the process.
He deals not only with small-scale proposals, but also initiatives for major and significant development, including large regeneration schemes. A notable career achievement was to secure planning permission for the Sunderland Strategic Transport Corridor and new Wear Crossing.
